Dog Fights - Entertainment
Dog fighting is a blood sport, in which dogs are made to fight, sometimes to the death. Dog fighting is often purely for entertainment, even though many people only the sickest of minds would consider seeing innocent dogs hurt and killed as entertainment. It is sometimes also associated with other illegal actions, such as drug trafficking.
Dog Fights - In the Home
There are many cases of dogs fighting in the home, and it is usually because of canine rivalry. Canine rivalry can occur for a variety of reasons, such as:
- If there is a new animal in the household
- A resident of the house that the dog was attached to has moved out or deceased
- a resident animal is reintroduced after leaving the household for a long period of time
- A young dog reaches social maturity (between 10 months and 2 years)
- A high ranking dog of the household becomes ill or gets to an elderly age, and cannot maintain its status
